HSA Commercial Real Estate is pleased to announce that PetSmart will open a new store at The Mayfair Collection. PetSmart recently signed a lease for a 15,621-square-foot storefront next door to Whole Foods Market in Wauwatosa, Wis. Construction of the store’s interior build-out is scheduled to start in February with a projected opening in fall of 2021.
The new PetSmart store in Wauwatosa will offer useful services such as pet training and adoption services, as well as a full-service grooming salon where dogs and cats receive hands-on care from academy-trained, safety-certified stylists dedicated to making pets look and feel their best.
“During the pandemic, many families in our community and throughout the country have adopted new pets, and there’s been a surge in demand for pet products and services,” said Brenton Schrader, vice president of leasing and marketing at HSA Commercial Real Estate. “With the opening of the PetSmart store this summer, we are thrilled to offer our customers and Synergy residents a more convenient place to pick up toys and pet food for their new furry family members!”
Developed by HSA Commercial Real Estate, the 69-acre mixed-use Mayfair Collection project at U.S. Highway 45 and Burleigh Street includes more than 400,000 square feet of retail anchored by Whole Foods Market and Nordstrom Rack, numerous local restaurants, coworking and corporate office space, a 146-room Hilton Homewood Suites, and Synergy, a community of 269 luxury apartments. Additional apartments, senior housing units and corporate office buildings are planned for future phases of the high-density, walkable development.
