HSA Commercial Real Estate today announced that InSinkErator, an Emerson Electric company, has purchased an 11.65 acre land site in HSA Commercial’s Park 94 Business Park in Mt. Pleasant, Wis. with plans to construct a new corporate headquarters on the property. The new $24 million, 86,200 square-foot headquarters and laboratory facility will reportedly have 170 employees and professional staff and will allow InSinkErator to expand its manufacturing operations already located in the area.

“Both HSA and the Village of Mount Pleasant are very pleased to welcome InSinkErator’s new, state-of-the-art corporate headquarters facility to our Park 94 development,” said Robert Smietana, vice chairman and CEO with HSA Commercial. “We hope that the project’s convenient location and access to skilled labor allows their business in southeast Wisconsin to grow and continue to innovate for years to come.”

Located at the intersection of State Highway 20 and International Drive, just 15 miles north of the Illinois-Wisconsin border, Park 94 at Mt. Pleasant is a multi-phase, multi-use business park development. In 2010, Naples, Italy-based SEDA International Packaging Group purchased a 323,610-square-foot building at 12501 Globe Drive in Park 94 to serve as its North American manufacturing and distribution center. SEDA International, the world’s largest manufacturer of food packaging products, has since expanded its facility to accommodate its growing operations in southeast Wisconsin.

Park 94 is located in a tax-increment district (TID) that is part of 950-acre development zone. The zone will accommodate corporate/professional offices, hotels, research facilities and light industrial buildings, as well as retail and restaurants. With access to two Interstate 94 interchanges and State Highway 20, as well as rail connections, Park 94 offers excellent visibility in the rapidly emerging Chicago-Milwaukee corridor and provides access to labor markets to the north and south.

JLL Managing Director Keith Stauber, Vice President Tony Haning, Vice President Jon Packee, and HSA Commercial’s Robert Smietana represented ownership in the land sale transaction. InSinkErator was represented by David and Kevin Barry of The Barry Company and Kurt Stanton and Sean Sloan of Paine Wetzel.
