Tim Thompson, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the Industrial Brokerage division, and Brad Borkowski, Associate, HSA Commercial Real Estate, represented Midwest Warehouse, a third-party logistics firm, in a lease for the entire 549,588-square-foot facility at 2805 Duke Parkway in Aurora, Ill.

Midwest Warehouse, which offers a variety of value-added supply chain management services, currently occupies 350,000-square-feet at that location and is expanding to take the remaining available space in the building. This facility is a part of Midwest Warehouse’s extensive Chicagoland logistics network which includes the following locations: Aurora, Bedford Park, Bensenville, Naperville, Northlake, Plainfield, and Woodridge.

The 2805 Duke Parkway building is situated on a 25.4-acre site northwest of the Interstate 88 and Route 59 interchange. The Class A industrial distribution facility was developed in 2008 by Duke Realty Corporation.

Borkowski stated, “It’s exciting to see absorption taking place in the market right now. It always bodes well for the economy to have third-party logistics (3PL) firms like Midwest Warehouse expanding. We believe absorption will continue to improve considering the halt of new construction and an increase in activity with several significant deals pending.”

Lynn Reich and Brian Kling of Colliers B&K represented ownership, Duke Realty Corporation, in the transaction.
