HSA COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE NAMED EXCLUSIVE LEASING AGENT FOR THE VILLAGES OF PORTOFINO IN HUNTLEY, IL

Daniel F. Miranda, president, HSA Commercial Real Estate, announced that the firm has been chosen as the exclusive leasing agent for the retail portion of The Villages at Portofino, a 105-acre mixed-use development located in Huntley, Ill. Kevin Augustyn, senior vice president in the firm’s retail brokerage division, will handling leasing activities along with Miranda.
The Villages at Portofino is being developed by The Portofino Group LLC headed by CEO Gary A. Marks, a highly experienced development team with extensive experience in the development of urban and suburban mixed-use projects. The retail part of the project is aimed at large box national retailers, theaters, sit-down restaurants and specialty retailers, with 7 outlots planned for free-standing buildings.
Located at the intersection of Route 47 and Kreutzer Road, the entire project will consist of a total of 2,005,827 square feet of retail, restaurant, entertainment, office and residential spread over 105 acres. Development is to proceed in three phases, addressing market demand over 5 to 7 years.
HSA’s initial leasing efforts will focus on 960,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment venues. The retail portion of the project will consist of in-line retail space with residential units above, a large big box presence on the north end of the development, and scattered restaurant/entertainment venues on public plazas, open spaces and a four acre lake modeled after Portofino Bay, Italy.
