61,897 sf industrial lease signED at hsa's 1207 bilter road

August 21, 2008

(Chicago – August 21, 2008)  Tim Thompson, executive vice president and director of industrial brokerage at HSA Commercial Real Estate, announced that Victaulic Company of America has leased 61,897 square feet of industrial warehouse space at 1207 Bilter Road, Aurora, Ill., part of HSA-developed Aurora Distribution Center Phase II.  Victaulic plans to take occupancy after their build-out is completed this coming October.

Victaulic, a world leader in mechanical pipe joining systems, will use the space as a Chicago distribution center.  Headquartered in Easton, Penn., Victaulic has operations all over the globe.  They were represented by Mark Montana with CresaPartners.  HSA was represented by Charles Canale and Carter Andrus of Colliers Bennett and Kahnweiler, the exclusive leasing agents for the development.

“The fact that we have been able to negotiate leases at Aurora Distribution Center II totaling nearly 357,000 square feet in the past six months shows that the I-88 corridor offers excellent opportunities for firms and remains a viable and growing market,” commented Thompson.

1207 Bilter Road is a 125,000-square-foot industrial warehouse/distribution facility developed by HSA in 2007.  Victaulic will join WebbMason and Olympic Logistics as tenants in the building.  1207 Bilter is part of a two-building development which also includes neighboring 1203 Bilter Road, a 295,000-square-foot facility 100% leased to Reviva Logistics.
