ACE HARDWARE TAKES 57,737 SF AT HSA COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE'S PARK 355 INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT

(Chicago – November 28, 2007) Tim Thompson, executive vice president and managing director of HSA Commercial Real Estate’s industrial brokerage division, announced that Ace Hardware has leased 57,373 square feet at 2145 Internationale Parkway, Woodridge, Ill. 2145 Internationale Parkway is a 254,000-square-foot multi-tenant distribution/warehouse building that was recently completed after being developed by HSA in its Park 355 business park along the new I-355 extension.
Ace will use the space for warehousing. Begun as a small chain of stores established by a group of Chicago-area retailers in 1924, Ace has grown to include more than 4,600 stores in 50 states and more than 70 countries.
Park 355 consists of 33 acres of high visibililty land along the new I-355 extension in Will County. Phase I was designed to accommodate users ranging from 16,000 square feet to 250,000 square feet, and Ace joins Agile Trade Show & Event Furnishings and National Salad Oil who both leased space last summer. HSA plans on constructing either another speculative building or a build-to-suit facility as large as 350,000.
Chuck Canale of Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler, the project’s exclusive leasing agent, worked with HSA’s Tim Thompson in crafting the terms of the lease for ownership. Ace was represented by David Lind and Traci Buckingham of CB Richard Ellis.
