HSA COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE ADDS TO ITS OHIO PORTFOLIO; 263,973 SF INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED

(Chicago – April 6, 2007) HSA Commercial Real Estate continues to add to its Ohio industrial portfolio and has acquired a 263,973-square-foot property at 2200 Fairwood Avenue, Columbus, according to the firm’s chairman, Jack Shaffer.
Constructed in 1969, this industrial warehouse is situated on 15 acres and is 100% occupied by American Signature, Inc., a division of Schottenstein Stores. Prior to American Signature, the building was occupied from its construction until 2002 by Yokohama Tire Company. American Signature uses the facility as a distribution center supplying merchandise to its 20-plus home furnishing stores.
Daniel F. Miranda, president, and Eric Ogden, senior vice president, led the team that identified and negotiated the acquisition of this property. Michael Linder and Shane Woloshan of Grubb & Ellis/Adena Realty Advisors represented both HSA and the seller, New York-based Aintsar Realty Corp.
HSA currently owns nearly 2,600,000 square feet of property in the State of Ohio, and this purchase continues the firm’s strategy of acquiring first-class properties nationwide, with over 17 million square feet of commercial property owned in 14 states.
