(Chicago – September 27, 2005) Robert E. Smietana, CEO and vice chairman, HSA Commercial Real Estate, announced that the firm has purchased a 100,000-square foot industrial warehouse at 1340 Sycamore Road in Manteno, Illinois . The property is ready for expansion up to 200,000-square feet and is located just off I-57 in fast growing Kankakee County.
Built in 1988, the facility is fully leased on a long-term basis to Chiquita Brands International, a leading international marketer, producer and distributor of high-quality bananas and other fresh produce.
This acquisition marks nearly 3,000,000-square feet of commercial real estate that has been purchased by HSA in 2005, as the firm continues to seek out potential acquisition opportunities as part of their overall national strategy.
